What is ECOC?

Ellisville Church of Christ is a warm and loving congregation of Christians.

Our group comes from a movement that started around the time of the American Revolution. That movement was founded on the belief that every person has the right to read the Bible for themselves, and each church has the right to self-govern (that is, make its own decisions, regardless of what any other church or denomination might do). Although we come from the same roots, each Church of Christ is independent, which means that Churches of Christ can, and do, have practices or beliefs that are different from one another.

At ECOC we carry on our heritage by valuing each person and each person's perspective. Our practices and policies tend to be fairly traditional. We are currently served by a team of three Shepherds who are ultimately responsible for decision-making.
